Social & Emotional Support

Our school counselors job is to ensure that students have everything they need to be successful in school. Our counselors meet with students individually to help problem solve and provide short term counseling, they also run small groups throughout the year focusing on coping and social skills. Every month, our counselors go into each classroom to teach social-emotional lessons. Our school counselors also assist families and caregivers with parenting challenges, community resources and more! Here at Forestdale, our school counselor’s goal is to help all members of the school community feel safe, heard and cared for- students, staff and families!
